Pictures from Upton, London where I sometimes go to for work.

Happy first of advent! Can't believe christmas is so close.

Pictures from today. This is probably the coziest café I've found in London. Jones Dairy Café is just off Columbia Road and very close to our house, how convenient. By the way, there's a pair of leather gloves inside these mittens. London is freezing cold!

Hope you're having a good weekend.

When you live in east London going to Kensington is like entering another world. This is one of the things I love about this city. I can take the train to other worlds! Like in Harry Potter.......whom these photos really remind me of. I can't wait to see the new movie!

My friend and flatmate Þórunn was 2(GR)8 yesterday so I woke up early to make pancakes. I always use this recipe, it's so good. In the evening we went to Kensington and had sushi. I took loads of pictures of beautiful houses which I'll post later. Happy twenty great Þórunn!

Pictures from walking to and from work. It only takes me about thirty minutes. I like walking because it gives me time to listen to music or my audiobook (just started listening to Anna Karenina-supposedly it's the greatest love story ever written? We'll see).

It's gotten really cold. Right now I'm sitting in bed in my pyjamas with my cover + two woolen blankets on top wearing two woolen sweaters and a scarf. Brrrr...... my nose is freezing. Why are there no nose-clothes? I'm watching this movie. Completely hooked on Tarkovsky after seeing The Mirror. Amazing.

Two things I really miss from Iceland: My dog! And hanging out in my family's summer cabin. So here are some pictures of Ronja in our cabin, Bugða. All taken this summer.

Nice saturday. We went to Broadway market, I had bratwurst and then some tea at a nice café called Little Georgia. I can't stop eating bratwurst....mmm. Tonight I'm going to meet up with my friend Sara and see some bonfires and fireworks because it's bonfire night! Yay. Yesterday it was also bonfire night......don't really understand this. Hope you're having a good weekend!

Pictures from a sunny october day when me and Þórunn went to Broadway market. And had bratwurst with sauerkraut! Mmm....

November in London feels weird. It's still strangely warm. Usually by this time of year I'm freaking out because I feel like christmas is around the corner but it's not happening at all here. Apparently it's snowing at home so I guess my christmas shivers probably won't arrive until I go there in December. And even though I'm really loving London I can't wait for Icelandic christmas!
