A bit of a christmas powerpost since I was too lazy around christmas time to get my blog up and running again. I do have a new camera so things will get more lively here.

We held christmas in London with our flatmates which was wonderful. We ate loads of good food, nice beef on christmas eve, opened presents, drank a lot of bailey's coffee and even went to midnight mass at the church right outside our house. Which was weird and funny and wonderful at the same time. Lots of incense in the air and singing of songs with endless verses. When we talked to the priest before we left he asked us where we were from. When we said "Iceland" his response was "Ohh the one on Kingsland Road??" -"Err.....no, the country." Not the first time people think we're employees of the frozen food retailer.

Now we have moved back to Iceland (the country) and ready to start new exciting things. More on that later.

Fall is here in London. I don't mind. An excuse to drink even more amount of tea.

These are pics from august in Iceland.

I don't see my friend Kaja very often since she has been living in Denmark for so many years and now I live in London. So we were really happy to both be in Iceland at the same time this august and have the chance to go for a small trip to Bugða together to simply do cozy country things. I'm pretty sure we are both masters of doing cozy things. We of course took Ronja with us since according to doggy law you can't go to the country side and leave your dog behind.
Soon after we arrived we went berry picking around the cabin. Ronja showed her extreme berry picking skills and her lack of putting-berry's-in-the-box...skills. We made sweet potato soup in the evening, watched a bad romantic comedy, drank tea with arctic thyme and made breakfast smoothie the morning after from our freshly picked berry's. I miss you Kaja!

More Iceland. I miss it already. Also, as you see, my dog can walk on water.

In London it's raining and grey but we still had a nice day at lovely Broadway market with Helga.

The flower is the national flower of Iceland after it's leaves have gone. It's called Holtasóley. I might like it more like this.

Constantly listening to this woman, whom Snorri introduced me to.

Three different shots of my sister. I miss her already. So I'm back in London, reunited with my boyfriend and my flatmates AND our new cat, Bingo! Reunited and it feels so good. But London is grey, wet and it feels like fall is here already. I like fall so it's fine.

My camera is being repaired so I'll keep posting photos from Iceland which I took on my mother's camera.
