Pictures from a fun birthday party I went to in august in Reykjavík.

I don't take alot of pictures these days because the only thing I seem to be doing is working, eating and sleeping.  So until I have something new to show you I'll just have to keep on recycling old photos to post here.

Please check out one of my favourite blogs; fine little day.

The colors and the graphic in the japanese anime series Mononoke are so inspiring I can't watch more than two minutes without pausing and taking a screenshot. You can watch it here.

I think few things are more beautiful than when the sun is setting / rising and casts an orange hue over everything. The colors become so amazingly saturated. These are pictures from a walk home from work in down town Reykjavík last august. The last three pictures are from our old street.

I've been traveling alot in the last days.....

No these are of course not my photos. I love going through photo archives to find inspiration and one of my favorite is Guardian's 24 hours in pictures. Everyday they post around 10-15 of the best images taken around the world. Many of them are so beautiful! But of course the harsh reality in some of them can be saddening. Like the first picture which is so inspiring and has wonderful colors and movement.....but at the same time is so horrible. I have a huge folder on my laptop where I save my favorite photos from this archive. I thought I'd share some of them with you.

The last one reminds me of the short film Le Ballon Rouge from 1956. It's so beautiful and if you haven't seen it maybe you should watch it now?

It's my mums birthday today. In the first picture she is with my dad in Kerlingarfjöll where they met in 1968 I think. Aren't they cute? More pictures from this hiking trip here and here. They used to go skiing there in the summers. Not gonna discuss climate change here but these mountains used to have much more snow and you can't really ski there in the summer anymore. Kind of sad.

The second picture is my mum, me and my sister in Kerlingarfjöll's main cabin eating icelandic meat soup after the hike. Decided to post this picture here also cause I know she'll be happy to see it. We're both currently living abroad, my sister is an exchange student in Belgium for a year and I'm interning in London as you maybe know.

Til hamingju með daginn elsku mamma!

Some London colors. I really like it when people have the nerve to paint their houses in bright colors.

Today was such a nice summer day. In october. Don't understand. When do I start wearing my winter clothes? Tomorrow I start my internship for Peter Jensen. Excited!

Edit: Wow look at the date! I hadn't realized this until now.

A few days before we left for London our friends Siggi and Gunna invited us over for some pizza at their beautiful apartment. Please notice how Siggi is to tall for it and has to stick his head out the window while working in the kitchen. Also, did you know you can make the best chocolate mousse out of avocado, agave syrup and cocoa powder?
